Six Month Pictures

We had a photographer come over and take some pictures of Greysen at 6 months old. I got them back today and wanted to post a few of them. Hope you enjoy!

6 month Doctor Appt.

I took Greysen to his 6 month doctors appointment yesterday. The doctor said that he is doing great. He still needs to be on Prevacid for his acid reflux but other than that he is just fine. He had four shots and a flu shot for a total of five shots. He was brave and didn't start crying until after the third poke. Here are the stats.
Length: 27.5 inches=75%
Head Circumference: 45.5 cm.=75%
Weight: 16 lbs 1 oz.=25%
Previously I had been told by several doctors that once a baby starts sleeping through the night the naps will work themselves out. Well they haven't so Dr. Arnold told me to put him in his crib for one and a half hours twice a day. I decided to follow his instructions and today is the second day. He cries and falls asleep, cries, falls asleep, cries, and falls asleep. I am trying to stay busy and blocking out the crying. Hopefully now I will have more than 20 minutes here and there for myself.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We wanted to wish Grandma Timms a Happy Birthday today. Greysen was very fascinated with the sign and just wanted to crinkle it, wave it around, chew on it and look down at it. He is such a funny little boy. Hope you have a Happy Birthday.
Love,
Greysen

Greysen's Train!

Greysen cannot sit up by himself yet. He can however hold onto his train and sit up until he gets bored and falls back. He knows how to push the button to operate the train.

A Timms Baby Girl?

I just wanted to see what our little girl would look like if we were to have one.
I think she would be really pretty if she looked like Greysen. Don't worry I am not pregnant.
"Mom, seriously enough with the headbands."

Greysen Tries OATMEAL!

I have been really frustrated with feeding solids to Greysen. I gave him rice cereal every evening for 8 days straight and he hated it. He would pierce his lips together, wine and cry. My least favorite was when I would put the spoon to his lips and he would blow and cereal would get all over me. The ninth day of food I decided to try a banana and he mostly just sucked on it with a couple of nibbles. The tenth day tonight I tried oatmeal. He did so much better with the oatmeal. I think we are going to say goodbye to the rice cereal for now.
As for a sleep update, Greysen is finally sleeping through the night (10-12 hours). As soon as I decided that I would get up with him all night long and sleep train the next baby he decided that he would sleep through the night. I did sleep with my door closed and the fan on for a couple of nights so he may have cried but he has been sleeping through the night for over a week now. I still check on him 7-10 times a night to make sure he is breathing but I am so relieved he is getting more sleep.

Jack Frost is Nipping

The past few mornings have been very cold and foggy. On Sunday morning the frost came for a visit. I have never seen frost like this before. It was so beautiful and crisp. These photos are courtesy of MacKinlay.

Greysen is SIX MONTHS OLD!

Greysen loves to stick out his little tounge. This was right before his first bite.
Here Greysen is spitting out his food. I think he was beginning to get tired of the food thing.
Here is Greysen taking some of his first bites. I am pretty sure that more than half of the food ended up on his shirt. We will be investing in some bibs tomorrow. They had bibs at Walmart but they were ugly and I was not going to spend $5.50 on ugly bibs. I know I am weird.

After his first meal

After eating the cereal we took a few pictures before putting Greysen in the bath. He loves to stick out his tounge and he loves to blow raspberries, spit and drool all the live long day.
Such a tall and skinny baby boy. We are not sure where he got that from but this kid is non stop moving and kicking his legs. When I put him to bed at night he always finds his way to the complete opposite side of the crib. He is a funny little guy.

Greysen takes his first bites

Here Greysen is taking his first bites of Rice Cereal. It was mostly milk with a little cereal. I am not sure how much he actually ate. I was surprised that he didn't stick his fingers in his mouth. It will be interesting to see how he does tomorrow. I am hoping that it will fill him up more and he will start sleeping better at night. We'll see.

Greysen's First Horse

Greysen loves his new Rocking Horse. When you push the ears the head and tail wiggle and the other ear makes a galloping noise. Greysen loves it.
Sage is such a sweet cousin to Greysen. She loves to hold him and play with him. He has so much fun watching Sage and Cade when they come visit us.

Cade's 5th Birthday!

Cade being GOOFY at the Bowling Alley.
This is my favorite Classic Cade Face. He is so cute.
MacKinlay bowled 3 days after his surgery and managed to score 194. He was sure sorry the next day.
