Halloween Night

I had no idea that a 15 month old would have so much fun on Halloween. MacKinlay and I took Greysen Trick-or-Treating to 6 houses then went home to pass out Canadian chocolates. Greysen loved dumping the candy over his head and then putting back in the bowl. When he would hear the doorbell ring he would jump, grab 2 fists full of candy and run to the door, then would close the door. He had so much fun and it was difficult to get him to go to bed. He didn't want to eat the candy but he sure loved playing with it.

Halloween Party

Greysen got to go to his first Halloween party this year at our neighbor's house. Greysen wore an Indian costume I made, I dressed as an Indian and MacKinlay was a cowboy. Greysen had lots of fun playing with the kids.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations to MacKinlay for his new promotion with his current employer. We are so proud of his hard work and dedication. Greysen and I are sad that MacKinlay will no longer be only 1.9 miles away from us but we are so proud of him. MacKinlay will be starting his new position on December 7th and will be commuting to downtown Salt Lake. The details of our one car situation have yet to be determined. WAY TO GO MAC!

Greysen throws the Ball!

Greysen is a boy. His favorite thing is balls. This can be anything that looks like a ball, such as oranges, apples or rocks. Here Greysen is with daddy throwing and catching the ball.

Greysen Swiffers While He Walks!

Greysen has finally started to walk more consistently. Just like many toddlers he loves the swiffer and loves to get it out of the pantry. I figured if he wants to play with it then I would put a cloth on it and let him pick up some dust. So here Greysen swiffers as he walks.

Greysen Eating Bratwurst!

Greysen likes to be just like his dad so he blows on his food before he eats it. It is not always hot food. The other day he was blowing on his cheese before each bite. The other night MacKinlay cooked up a Bratwurst and Greysen ate 3/4 of it. Yesterday MacKinlay made two Bratwurst and Greysen spat it out. You just never know day to day what this kid will like. He is sure a cutie.

Greysen Update

Greysen went to the dentist for the first time yesterday. He is a little behind with his teeth, but we are going to wait another 6 months before we get concerned and take X-rays. I have felt that Greysen is behind in many ways such as walking, talking and getting teeth. In the past week I have realized that he may be behind in some areas but ahead in other areas. He has just learned to blow his nose, puts the shapes in the shapes cube, and is starting to follow directions. He may not talk or walk but he understands and can get into lots of things.

Our Climbing boy!

Greysen is our little climber. He loves to climb on the school desk, over the arm of the couch down the couch to the end table, on the end table, over the arm of the other couch, down the couch, to the popcorn machine to open the door. Then he climbs down the couch and crawls to the school desk to do it all over again.

J-E-L-L-O

I made a lot of pudding today for MacKinlay and Greysen. I fed Greysen some and he started freaking out because he wanted to hold the spoon.
I gave him the spoon and then he was freaking out because he wanted the bowl.
I gave him the bowl and he stuck his hand in and then he wiped it on his face.
That is when I had to get out the camera and capture this fun moment. He sure makes me laugh.

The OREGON Coast

We went to Lincoln City, OR this past weekend with the Timms family.
I have never felt water so cold. It couldn't have been more than 40 degrees. It sent cramps up my legs but Greysen didn't seem to mind.
Greysen loves the beach. The second he saw the sand he wiggled out of my arms and stretched out belly down on the sand and just giggled.
The only drawback with the beach is Greysen will not stop licking the sand. He is a picky eater yet he can't stop sticking his tongue right on the sand.
We went to the aquarium and I thought this 7 foot shark was captivating.
Here is Greysen with daddy checking out the fish.

Cousins Week 2009

Every year for the past 7 years my mom has done cousins week. She chooses a theme and does a full week of activities around the theme. It started with 6 cousins and it has grown to 14. This years theme was "Around the World." She painted a huge plane and every couple of days we would board the plane and go to a different country and learn about the various places. We went to Japan, France and Hawaii. It was a blast and all the cousins had such a great time. Thanks mom you are the best!
Grammy with the 5 new grand babies under the age of two! Reese 23 months, Greysen 12 months, Jada 8 months, Presley 11 months and Gavin 22 months. Next year they will have even more fun playing with each other.

Ashley and Rylee as Sumo wrestlers on the day we "visited Japan" The background is the huge plane that my mom painted by hand. It is hard to see with the poor lighting but it was so amazing in person.

Here is Greysen at the beach wearing his sand beard.
Greysen playing with his aunt Becky.
Greysen loves the beach and can't get enough of the sand and water. I wish we lived near a beach because it entertains him for more than a hour. It is the world's largest free sandbox. Maybe someday.

Greysen's Birthday Party

We had a fun swim party for Greysen. We had an inflatable water park with three slides and the kids loved it. Greysen's favorite part was the birthday cake. He didn't want to eat the cake but he loved playing in it. It was a fun time!
Here Greysen and Daddy are with the #1 birthday cake.
Here is the fire engine cake for the rest of the people at the party.

Greysen's Birthday, Almost

Greysen thought loved his birthday cake. He dug in and had fun squishing the cake through his fingers and wiping it everywhere. There was a huge mess in seconds.

Greysen Loved the Beach

Greysen loves the water! He is just like his Mom, loves rolling around and splashing in the water. We took Greysen down to Cresent beach and he could not get enough. He liked pushing the sand around and watching it fall through his fingers.

Big Boy Car Seat

Greysen's big boy car seat arrived the other day and he has had so much fun playing with the box. He climbs up the box, then onto the chair, then climbs down and the process begins again. He is our little monkey and has recently figured out how to make his way on the couch in the loft. He'll have to wait to ride forward facing until he is 20 lbs and one. He has reached 19 lbs so car rides should be more tolerable in just a few weeks.

Lehi Round-Up Days!

We went to Lehi Round-Up days on Saturday and Greysen loved looking at the animals and going on the swings. I pushed him on the swing facing me and as he came towards me I would jump back like he was knocking me over. He thought it was hysterical and had the hiccups to prove it.

Eleven Months Today!

We finally got a seat on the bike for Greysen for his 11 month birthday celebration. Okay not really. But we did get it today and he loved it. He is growing up so fast.
Eleven months today and Greysen is all over the place. He has learned to pull himself up the child school desk and stands on the seat. HE is walking all around the furniture and loves to throw the tennis ball. He has four teeth and enjoys biting my arm, shirt and nose.

How big is Greysen?

Finally after four months of asking Greysen how big he was he finally figured it out. Persistence is the key. Now we will have to work on a new trick. Any suggestions?

Greysen and the Slip and Slide

It took him some time, but he got the hang of what he was supposed to do quick enough. The water was freezing, but he did not care one bit!

Greysen and the Otter Pop!

I made the mistake of eating an Otter Pop in front of Greysen. Soon after I started, he was grabing for it and asking to try it. After getting used to the cold, he loved it!

Greysen's first time at the Zoo

Greysen loved going to the Zoo for the first time. His favorite part was the Rhino, and the Penguins. He could not stop talking to them. Bla bla ba ba ba.

Greysen Dancing

Greysen loves dancing to music. When he catches you watching, he just laugh's and keeps on dancing.

Greysen loves the farm

We go to Thanksgiving point so Greysen can ride on the pony. I guess that's what happens when you live in Utah for too long, your children start becoming cowboy's!

Greysen and the stairs

Greysen thinks it's the best game to try to pull his toy plane up the stairs. Sometimes Dad needs to give him a bit of help, but he does not mind.
