Our New Improved Backyard

Here Greysen is being the pilot on the airplane teeter-totter and the next door neighbors' kids.
Had to have this. Luckily I had my brother-in-law and sister Shana help me assemble this huge hunk of metal. It holds 7 kids and holds up to 600 pounds. It has made Greysen slightly more popular in the neighborhood which works out great.
This is Greysen on his "belly swing." I bought him the bucket swing but that requires mommy to put him in and push. So I told him that this is the belly swing when mommy can't be with you. It took him a week or so but he eventually caught on. The yellow bucket swing is the favorite of all the kids his age.

I was shocked that he could hold onto the rings. He said he wanted to be a monkey and swing from them. Then he did his monkey noises and was cracking us up.
Here he is on the top story of his "treehouse" he likes to climb up the ladder and look into the neighbors yards and yell, "Hi! Hi!" over and over again. It took him a few days to go down the slide but he now loves it.
Here Greysen is in his "yellow swing." The higher the better. He was really afraid of swings before and would only go on them for 5 minutes but he has since moved on and loves the swing. Swing has not quite sprung, but we have had a few nice days and have spent them outdoors on the swings. Thank goodness for our new fence that was installed mid February. It has been a dream come true. Not the best babysitter but it does allow me a couple minutes to run inside or make dinner. It sure will be a dream this summer with a new baby.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Daddy bought this for Greysen the day before at Joann's Fabric store 50% off and Greysen would not stop talking about "decorate eggs" This kid loves eggs and the fact that they were Mickey Mouse was more than he could handle. By day 2 I said okay let's decorate eggs. He was thrilled but is still a little young to do it by himself the way he would prefer. Decorating the eggs did the trick and he quit talking about it once it was done.

Greysen and Daddy coloring eggs together.
Mommy holding the egg and Greysen coloring with crayon.
So excited for the eggs to boil. He was patiently asking every 2 minutes, "decorate eggs, now, please?"
The final product. Only 6 eggs because a few broke when he GENTLY threw them into the water to boil. It was a fun project. A month too soon but way to make Easter last!

Hockey Night at the Timms

Greysen and Hailey got into the chips and were going to town.
Greysen and Hailey in their Canucks' Jerseys. Greysen likes to say, "Go Nucks, Go."
MacKinlay loves Hockey and our friends that he knows from B.C. came over to watch the Canucks game. Fortunately we won and all 3 were happy. Robyne and Eldon's little girl Hailey is so calm and mellow and just chill. Very different from our wild child Greysen. Boys and girls are definitely different that is for sure.

Farm Country

They sell corn at Farm Country and Greysen loves to feed the animals.

Greysen loves, loves Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. It was a somewhat nice day and we had to go before the weather turned freezing. We met Jada and Hannah at farm country and Greysen had so much fun feeding the animals. I was a pretty sad that they raised the prices and it now costs $2 for the pony ride instead of being free. Luckily I had a leftover ticket this time but Greysen expects to ride the ponies. When he is 3 I will have to start paying for him and he will get a free pony ride. Until then I am not sure it is worth the $2.

Kristin's 31st Birthday

28 weeks pregnant and having a Happy Birthday!
Mac, Greysen and Mommy with the edible arrangement.
My friend Cara and her 3 kids came over and played on the swing set that was finally assembled the day before.
My friend Kate and I only 6 1/2 weeks apart in pregnancy. She fortunately had her baby almost 2 weeks early and is happily unpregnant. Her little girl Hannah is Greysen

My birthday was when Mac was just recovering from surgery. He and Greysen ordered me an edible arrangement and had it delivered. It made me laugh because the only other time that I have gotten an edible arrangement was when I was pregnant with Greysen. It was a sweet and thoughtful present from a husband that had been house bound and had only been home a little more than a week. Then he surprised me with the baby bedding that I had my eye on. He had it shipped to my sister's and she brought it over. He is so thoughtful and I am excited to set up the nursery.
